Leipzig has a very good system of public
transport. On the website of the LVB (Leipziger
Verkehrsbetriebe) you can check which trams/buses
you need to take to get to specific places or print out the schedule
for the stop nearest to your house/hotel.
Tickets are sold from vending machines at some tram stops, and also
from booths on the Augustusplatz
and in front of the train station.
Tickets need to be stamped in the little orange boxes on the
trams/buses when you get on.
The tram stop closest to the Max Planck Institute is the
"Deutsche
Bücherei", and two tram lines pass: 16 and 2,
though stopping on different corners.
Participants
(with exception of the invited speakers) are asked to arrange for their
accommodation themselves.
Participants of LSSLD can extend their stay in the guest houses for the duration of the Rara Conference.
